This year’s recipient is Travis Reese of Gilbertsville, PA. On Halloween of 2018, fifteen-year-old Travis was diagnosed with an aggressive form of T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His course of treatment is 3.5 years. He has undergone induction chemotherapy and continues to progress through the phases (or roadmaps) of intense chemotherapy and has hit some stumbling blocks along the way. He undergoes frequent spinal taps monthly and has undergone several other invasive procedures. He receives intrathecal, intravenous and oral chemotherapies. Travis is a High Honors Student, with athletic and theatrical interests, all of which have been put on hold due to this devastating diagnosis.
